Bandjeez
Bandjeez is a distinctive Czech band that blends balladic style with the energy of a full band sound. It was formed in 2011 around the charismatic singer and songwriter David Stypka, and it has gradually evolved into a highly-renowned, significant project. Their music spans the genres of folk, rock, and jazz, often with subtle touches of pop or electronic music. They are known for their deep emotionality, powerful lyrics, and authentic performance style that resonates with even large audiences. Following David Stypka‘s death, the band carries on, building on David‘s legacy and collaborating with various singers. Their music remains vibrant, open, and still relevant.
Getaway
The quintet of young talented musicians from Frýdek-Místek performs under the lead of Radim Přidal. Frontwoman Veronika Pospíšilová is 16 years old, and the youngest member of the band is 14-year-old guitarist Tobiáš Korč. The band navigates the waters of indie rock and indie pop with forays into soul. Three guitar parts intertwine in a sophisticated way and range from delicate arrangements to heavy rock that retains its substance even without the use of keyboards or added samples. Original songs with Czech or English lyrics slowly replace the cover versions of popular indie rock or pop songs.
