SFS Presents was launched in 2017 in order to link the festival with film distribution and engage the SFS audience in the process of film acquisition. Over the course of the year, the SFS organizers shortlist three remarkable films that deserve to be screened in Czech cinemas, and the festival audience chooses one of them to be released. The winners of the previous editions were the British gay romance God’s Own Country (2017), the Icelandic drama And Breathe Normally (2018), the German buddy-road-movie 25 km/h (2019), the Norwegian documentary The Painter and the Thief (2020), the Norwegian war drama The Crossing (2021), the Austrian prison love story Great Freedom (2022), the Spanish feel-good dramedy Mamacruz (2023), the Belgian coming-of-age film Young Hearts (2024), and the Irish comedy drama Four Mothers (2025).
