Michel Ocelot is one of Europe’s most important auteurs of animated film. He became known for films such as Kirikou and the Sorceress, Princes and Princesses and Azur & Asmar, in which he combines fairy-tale storytelling, shadow theatre, distinctive visual stylisation and inspiration from non-European cultures. His films speak to both children and adults and show that animation can be a path to imagination, discovering the world and understanding others.
In this special workshop for children and adults, Michel Ocelot will personally invite you into his creative world. Together with him, you will discover the power of stories, images and animation, and try out methods showing that even small visual ideas can become the basis for great animated stories full of magical and surprising moments.
