SFS Presents was launched in 2017. The main goal of this section is to connect the festival with film distribution and involve the festival audience in the process of film acquisition. During the year, three films are preselected, which, according to the organisers, deserve to be released in Czech distribution. Here are some of the previous winners: British gay romance God’s Own Country (2017), Icelandic drama And Breathe Normally (2018), German buddy-road-movie 25 km/h (2018), Norwegian documentary The Painter and the Thief (2020), Norwegian war drama The Crossing (2021), Austrian prison love story Great Freedom (2022) or Spanish feel-good dramedy Mamacruz (2023). This year, the project continues unchanged. Once again, it will be possible to choose from real gems.
